We like to start with some light requirements gathering before putting a number to your project. Factors like your security requirements, whether you want an external design consultant involved, and other details specific to your business all shape the final quote. As an AI-first company with a small, lean team, our development costs come in well below traditional IT firms, typically landing somewhere between $2k and $15k AUD depending on scope.
Once we handover the software, there are a few ongoing costs to consider:
- Your AI subscription – Claude Pro or ChatGPT Plus, around $30–40 AUD/month (roughly US$20/month), which you'll use to keep building on and maintaining the software yourself.
- Front-end hosting – on Vercel. If it's just one piece of software, this is usually free on Vercel's free tier. If you need more than that, Vercel Pro is US$20/month and lets you host as many front ends as you like on that plan.
- Database hosting – on Supabase. Supabase's two free projects usually cover it. If you need more than that, Supabase Pro is US$25/month per organisation plus US$10/month for each project beyond the first.
Any additional development work required after project completion is billed at a standard hourly rate.

We'll completely hand over the software to you, including all of the tools and platforms it's built on. Then, over a number of calls during a 1-month monitoring period, we'll train you on how to use those tools. Throughout that month we're still on call to fix any bugs that come up and to help you modify the platform, so you finish with all the expertise and skills needed to keep evolving the software on your own.
For sure – ongoing maintenance is $200 AUD/month, and any extra development work is billed at $220 AUD/hour.
Yes. Security is taken seriously throughout the design and development process, with strict access controls, testing, and careful handling of sensitive credentials. On top of that, we host on established, enterprise-grade managed platforms, which take on a huge portion of the underlying infrastructure security for us. One of our lead developers also has a cybersecurity background within enterprise software environments, which heavily influences how we approach system design.
Your data is securely stored in Sydney, Australia, using an enterprise-grade managed database platform (Supabase). Rather than hosting servers ourselves, we use professionally managed cloud infrastructure with built-in encryption, backups, security monitoring, and high availability. This allows us to focus on building reliable software while ensuring your data is protected using modern cloud security best practices.
The front end is everything you and your users see and interact with in the browser – the pages, buttons, and forms. The database is what runs behind the scenes – it stores your data and handles requests, keeping everything secure. Put simply: the front end is the interface, the database is the engine powering it.
